Hospital Bed Resource
Hospital Beds
It can be overwhelming when looking online trying to figure out which is the correct bed for you or your loved one. We have made the following outline to show the (slight) differences between standard hospital beds. Also, included is information on the new Long-Term Care beds by Dynarex. The LTC beds have many more options and features than the standard hospital beds. If you are interested in getting a hospital or long-term care bed, we are happy to walk you through the process and help you choose the right bed.

Fully Electric vs Semi-Electric
The Full-Electric Home Hospital Bed has 3 primary functions:
- Raise and Lower Head End (Electric)
- Raise and Lower Foot End At Knee Area (Electric)
- Raise and Lower Entire Bed Platform (Electric)
The Semi-Electric Home Hospital Bed also has 3 primary functions, but one is manually adjustable rather than electric:
- Raise and Lower Head End (Electric)
- Raise and Lower Foot End At Knee Area (Electric)
- Raise and Lower Entire Bed Platform (Manual Crank)
Semi-Electric Homecare beds still offer the convenience of a pendant control to operate both the head and foot adjustments of the bed but the bed platform height must be adjusted by hand crank. If the overall bed height does not need to be frequently adjusted, this option will offer some savings for the buyer.
All beds come with a standard foam mattress and either half or full length bed rails.
Bed sheets, sheet sets, eggcrate mattress pads, alternating pressure mattress pad, incontinent pads, overbed tables, and other bed accessories are also available at Medical Store.
Hospital Bed Base Pricing
Standard Semi-Electric Hospital Bed $1400
Standard Fully Electric Hospital Bed $1900
